Ski Banff @ Norquay has been operating since 1926 as a ski area. It has a wide variety of terrain for skiing or riding that will suit all abilities. From gentle green runs for the beginner, to heart pounding double black diamond runs, Ski Banff @ Norquay offers something for everyone, including night skiing and a terrain park.
Situated just minutes from the town of Banff, and 20 minutes from Canmore, it's the ideal quick getaway ski hill for a half days skiing if you are a local (or a full day). And a great vacation destination if you are coming from further afield.
Recognising peoples needs they also have a wide variety of ski pass and ticket options, including buying ski time by the hour for people with time constraints but a need to get on the hill, a full day pass, ski passes for multiple days or indeed the entire ski season.
On entering the Norquay complex the first runs you see are steep, mogul studded freefalls served by Norquay's original double chair. There are three more chairs that serve beginner (including a small, sheltered beginner slope), and intermediate runs.
The Cascade quad chair services most of the beginner terrain, also providing access to the Spirit quad chair and the Pathfinder Express quad.
The mountain also has state of the art grooming equipment enabling the beginner and intermediate terrain to be groomed nightly.
Norquay stats:
The ski area is also serviced by Cascade Lodge. The timber lodge has picture windows ensuring breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and huge decks provide some relaxing sun exposure for those taking a break from the ski runs.
Included in the lodge are: a deli and cafeteria, cafe, pub, restaurant, washrooms, ski lockers & bag check, ski school desk and private function room.
Daycare is also available, as is great après-ski at the end of a hard days skiing or riding.
