Canmore activities - swimming

Canmore has an outstanding new recreation centre, Elevation Place, located on Railway Avenue. Opened April 2013 it offers a wide range of activities, including swimming for all ages.

Membership is not a requirement as you can pay drop-in fees to use the centres facilities. Or you can buy varied passes, depending on your needs, time available and budget.

The Aquatic Centre includes:

• 25 metre pool with eight lanes
• Leisure pool that simulates a beach edge, moving to 1.5 metres deep
• Lazy river, water slide and children’s play area
• Steam room as well as a 25-person hot tub
• Modern locker rooms with showers
• Second floor spectator viewing
• On-deck multipurpose room
