The Pond outdoor ice rink

The Canmore Pond outdoor ice rink is located on 7th Avenue at Mallard Alley just two blocks from Main Street, and offers an ice surface approximately 150m x 60m.

The Town of Canmore maintains the rink daily with ice building and patch filling when required. The surface is also reflooded/resurfaced 3-5 times a week during the skating season, subject to weather conditions.

This ice surface is considered top priority for the Parks Department maintenance program, and is used for several Canmore winter events such as Skate with Santa and the New Years Eve Party on the Pond.

The Pond has the following amenities:

• Suitable for all age groups
• Gazebo with heaters for easy changing
• No sticks and pucks allowed
• Lights for night use (to 10pm)
• Picnic tables & benches
• Waste bins
• Small parking lot and roadside parking
