Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is named after the Kicking Horse river and high-alpine pass, both responsible for opening the Canadian West to the rest of the world in the 1850's.

It's also renowned for it's powder. This is not just any old powder, but Kicking Horse Mountain Resort "Champagne Powder", some of the best you'll find anywhere in North America.

Less than 2 hours from Canmore it is an achievable drive, still allowing for plenty of time on the mountain when you get there. The resort overlooks the town of Golden, British Columbia, and is a scenic 14 km (9 miles) drive off Trans-Canada Highway #1.

Ski school is available for: adults, children, private instruction, specialty instruction, and mountain guiding services.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort can also offer more than just skiing and snowboarding, also available are: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, heli-skiing/boarding, snowmobiling, telemark skiing, ski touring, flight sightseeing, ice climbing.
